Oral hygiene

Oral health care is very important in your overall health and well-being and it is important to keep your mouth in tip top condition.

One of the most important aspects of our practice is the implementation of a preventative care program. In doing so we are able to diagnose potential oral health issues in their early stages and then be able to prevent them from developing further, enabling you to achieve and maintain optimal oral health.
Regular oral care appointments are recommended, a visit to your dentist every 6 months is suggested where you will receive a thorough check up and clean using the latest techniques to remove any plaque build up from your teeth.

The team at Mosman 3D Dental are happy to answer any questions in relation to oral health care and maintenance.

Importance of oral hygiene

The major cause of tooth loss in Australian adults is gum disease and it is estimated that it will affect over 80% of people at some stage in their life. Gum disease results from a build up of plaque, which leads to inflammation and infection of the gum tissue, jawbone and can eventually lead too tooth loss if untreated.

Remember to clean your teeth correctly to help remove bacterial plaque, leaving a clean tooth surface. Brushing and flossing your teeth daily helps you to maintain a healthy mouth.
